Presbyopia

What is Presbyopia?

Presbyopia is also known as aging eyes. People with presbyopia often begin to have trouble focusing on reading or close work, or begin to remove their distance glasses to read.

How is Presbyopia Diagnosed?

See your eye care professional for a comprehensive eye exam. The focussing ability of the natural lens will be measured to determine the proper strength for your reading correction

How is Presbyopia Treated?

Presbyopia can easily be treated with corrective lenses. In cases where myopia (near-sightedness), hyperopia (far-sightedness) or astigmatism (blurred vision) occurs, bifocal or modern progressive lenses may be prescribed.
